FRESH CHICKEN is an excellent source of amino acids, fatty acids and biotin (as are whole eggs). Biotin (an essential nutrient) plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
OCEAN FISH is a complete protein which means it contains all the essential amino acids, including those that the body cannot self produce, but must be obtained through the diet. The fish used in Pinnacle Feline is of the highest quality, using only the body meat - no by-products, and is 85 to 95% digestible.
CRANBERRIES are a good source of fiber and bioflavinoids. They also contain quinic acid which may reduce the likelyhood that calcium phosphate deposits will form in a urinary tract. The quinic acid does not breakdown in the body as a result of digestion, and therefore is excreted unchanged in the urine helping to mildly acidify the urine.
QUINOA is a highly nutritious grain (vegetable) sourced from South America. Pinnacle is the first dry cat food to utilize this high Andes grain that is 100% organically grown, rich in amino acids and is an excellent energy source.
GRAPESEED OIL is another first for Pinnacle. It's rich in vitamin E and is loaded with omega 6 (linoleic) fatty acids which is excellent for the skin and coat.
PROBIOTICS are used in Pinnacle to facilitate good health and wellness. They inhibit unfriendly bacteria proliferation, help nutrient absorption and facilitate digestion.
LOW ASH & MAGNESIUM are essential mineral nutrients. This is why Pinnacle Feline is formulated with just the right amounts of these essential minerals. The majority of magnesium is formed in bones and teeth and is essential in cellular metabolism.
ADDED TAURINE - Cats cannot make enough taurine to meet there metabolic needs. A deficiency in a cats diet can result in retinal (blindness) degeneration and heart disease.
